Oakham Villa
Oakham Villa and Wokeham played out an entertaining three-game exhibition series on Tuesday evening, with the Villains coming away 2-1 winners after bouncing back from an opening defeat. Across the three matches, Oakham scored 25 goals and showed plenty of attacking quality against tough opposition.
The first match ended in a narrow 7-5 defeat. Hg__80 proved difficult to contain, scoring five times, while Kinkaiii added a brace to complete Wokeham's tally. Oakham stayed in the contest throughout thanks to two goals each from iPlexity and gvse, with snw also getting on the scoresheet, but they were unable to overturn the deficit despite a spirited performance.
The response was immediate in the second game as Oakham produced one of their best attacking displays of the night, running out convincing 13-7 winners. iPlexity led the way with four goals, while teato also found the net four times in an excellent performance. gvse continued their fine form with a hat-trick, and snw chipped in with two goals to complete the scoring. Wokeham's goals were shared between Kinkaiii, BlankestAtlas and AmberSolberg205, but they could not keep pace with Oakham's relentless attack.
The final game saw Oakham wrap up the series with a comfortable 7-2 victory. gvse struck a hat-trick, snw matched that feat with three goals of their own, and teato added another to round off the scoring. BlankestAtlas and Kinkaiii replied for Wokeham, but the Villains were in control for much of the match to secure the series.
A strong attacking display across all three games saw gvse finish as Oakham's top scorer with eight goals, closely followed by iPlexity and snw with seven each. teato added five goals across the final two matches as Oakham finished the evening on a high and claimed the exhibition series 2-1.
